Cultural Plan Advisory Committee
Dear Cultural Plan Advisory Committee members, Happy New Year! I'm writing to let you know that the website for the Pomona Cultural Plan is now online. This website contains the Vision, Goals and Objectives of the Plan, as well as a brief historical context and links to the Cultural Asset Map and Database. You can view the website at http://www.pomonaculturalplan.xbuild.com. Thank you so much for the role each of you played in crafting Pomona's Cultural Plan. The Cultural Arts Commission Planning Committee intends to present the Plan to City Council for adoption before the end of the month. The Plan has received letters of endorsement from the Pomona Unified School District, the Youth and Family Master Plan, the Chamber of Commerce, the Pomona Arts Colony Association and the Downtown Pomona Owners Association. We ask that you help to circulate the link to the website this week--we'd like as many Pomona residents and business owners as possible to be aware of the plan. Send an email to your contacts, put it on your Facebook page or tweet it. We want to generate broad awareness of and support for the plan, and you can help us reach this goal. Once the Plan is adoped, the real work of implementation begins. Your efforts will be needed to make the vision of the Plan -- that Pomona be identified as a "City of the Arts" to residents and visitors a like -- a proud reality.
