The Pomona Chamber of Commerce gives you, our members, an opportunity to market your products to a variety of businesses in the Pomona Valley, through a number of events.

 

The Pomona Chamber has four divisions to serve the business community . . .

Education Committee . . .

Public education is addressed in the Education Committee. This committee works closely with the Pomona Unified School District as well as surrounding colleges and universities to bring business into the classroom; providing students with a "career connection" and a look at our free enterprise
system. Events include Principal for a day and the Scholarship Luncheon

Special Events . . .

The Pomona Chamber of Commerce hosts several special events throughout the year in an effort to provide its members with current information and/or to offer a relaxed social setting in which to have fun and network. Some events Include: The Taste of Pomona Valley & Business Expo, The Scholarship Luncheon, Golf Tournament, the Annual Installation and Community Service Award Dinner.

Legislative Affairs Council...

The Governmental Affairs Committee is committed to helping business succeed by improving our regulatory and legislative environment. The Committee meets bi-monthly to review and inform members of pending legislation proceedings that may affect business, and to take appropriate action on behalf of the membership. The committee hosts candidate and issue forums along with an annual legislative power lunch.

Networking . . .

The Chamber's Ambassador Program is made up of business professionals who assist with the development of membership by making sure members feel welcome and involved. The group meets on a monthly basis to discuss trends and offer assistance and resources to the business community. The committee lends their expertise in networking by assisting at monthly mixers and special events. Networking opportunities include monthly Mixers, Referral Networking Group and all Special Events

Mission Statement

Effectively representing and promoting business interests in Pomona's culturally diverse community. The mission is to be accomplished by:

- Developing partnerships with government, schools, residents and businesses

- Gathering and sharing information to promote better understanding in the community

- Provide strong leadership by advocating policies, practices and legislation in significant issues which impact business

Since 1888 the Pomona Chamber of Commerce continues to provide the local business community with skills and resources to flourish in Southern California, the greatest single marketplace in the nation.

Today, our Chamber represents over 350 of your friends and neighbors, in big and small businesses. We promote their products and services in Southern California - where the action is. We strive to be their voice in the halls of government on the issues that effect and challenge businesses today and tomorrow.
